Sikkim is the place of fascinating sights, sounds and feeling. It is situated between the kingdom of Nepal in the West and Bhutan in the East. They have small delightful mountains. According to legend, the Buddhist guru Padmasambhava visited Sikkim in the 8th century introduced Buddhism and foretold the era of the Sikkimese monarchy.
It is the least popular state in India and the second smallest state after the Goa in total area covering approx 7100 km2. It is a popular destination for tourists because of its culture and scenery. Along with Sikkim has the only open land border between India and china. The elevation of the state range between 300 m and over 8,500 m above sea level.
The Sikkim is beautiful in winters. You can visit North Sikkim in December and January. I chances of disaster and storm in these month so I suggest don’t go that time. If you are in Sikkim in those month or you are suffering that type of problem like disaster or storm then the response time is very fast by Army. It’s very important region for our country and the BRO and army needs it be connected.

In December or January there is everywhere snow so that is why i heard that many of roads are closed due to snowfall and many of the tourist place cut off.
Places to visit:-
Nathula pass, it is mountain that covered with snow. Temperature of Nathula is low. On the Indo-Chinese border that serves as the trade link between India and China. The elevation of nathula pass is 14140 feet that is one of the top mountains in the India.
Tsomgo lake is also called as Changu Lake. This lake is full of snow or glacial lake in the east Sikkim of the Indian state of Sikkim. It is situated from 40km from the capital of the Gangtok. The average depth of this lake is 50 ft. Altitude of 12310 feet. It’s a best place to visit.
The Ban Jhakri waterfall and park
This waterfall and park is available near Gangtok approx 7 km. This park spread across some 2-acres of land area with many flowering plants and trees in it. It is famous for picnic spot. Ban Jhakri means ‘Jungle Priest’ in other words ‘Jungle Magician’. The entry charges in this park is Rs. 20 each person. The scouter is available in the main gate of park
