The Manikaran Gurudwara is a Sikh pilgrimage place in India. Manikaran is located in the Himachal Pradesh. It is at a high altitude of 1765m and is located about 40 km from the Kullu District and 85 km from the Manali. It is also a base point of many trekking routes, most notably being one to Malana. The Manikaran Gurudwara or Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Gurudwara is commemorated to best place to visit of Guru Nanak Dev to this place. The famous book of Sikh is the ‘Bhai Bala JanamSakhi’ or the ‘Twarikh Guru Khalsa’ by Giani Gian Singh. As per this book the guru Nanak dev ji came to Manikaran for the welfare and wellbeing of the people of this region, around the year 1574 of the Vikrami Calender. In Manikaran Gurudwara nearby has many temples and Gurudwara. There are temples of the Hindu deities Rama, Krishna and Vishnu. The water of the spring is also supposed to have curative powers. The water is so hot that rice for the “Langer” is cooked by putting it into a linen-bag and dipping it into the boiling water.
