Information about Faridabad
The name Faridabad is derived from its founder Shaikh Farid who was the treasurer to Jahangir. Faridabad district has a large number of industries which brings major revenue to the state. A Faridabad district is in under Haryana state. It was declared as the 12th district of Haryana on 15th August 1979. Faridabad has the 4th tallest flag of India. This flag is situated in Town Park, Faridabad. The height of this flag is 250 feet (75 Meters). This flag was unfurled on 3rd of March 2015, by the BJP president Amit Shah.

Every year a fair held in the month of February (1 February to 15 February) in Surajkund. On this they display folk arts and rich crafts tradition from all over India. This is called as “International Art and Craft Mela”. On this Mela some shopkeepers sell their products like paintings, potters, embroiderers, wood carvers and much more classic items. Passport Office is now available in Faridabad:-
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Pal Gurja inaugurated a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in Faridabad an industrial town in Haryana on April 26, 2016.
Till the date of release passport office in Faridabad, the entire citizen of faridabad or nearby places citizen had to visit either passport office Gurugram or New Delhi. The POPSK, in the beginning, will accept 30 passport applications per day.

Sai Baba Temple

Mata Vaishno devi temple

Aravali Golf Course
This golf course has 18 holes, designed by Stephen Kay. It is maintained by Haryana tourism and it has built guest houses in the golf course with luxurious rooms. It is 30 km from Delhi and spread over nearly 45 acres.
It is the landmark park of Faridabad. It is situated in sector 12. This park is adorned with huge trees, plants and flowers. It has 4th tallest India flag in the middle of park. Best place to visit for family to celebrate picnic.
