Haridwar
Haridwar is a place where peoples come from across the india visit for pilgrimage and to take a holy dip into holy river Gangas. It is the heritage or ancient city or one of the best sacred cities in India. Haridwar is district of Uttarakhand state in India. Every Hindu has enough knowledge about this city. The diverse nature of the Hindu religion has attracted abroad visitor from all over the world to see the Indian culture or beauty. Fact: Want to ride an old Fashioned Tonga or Tuk Tuk? Haridwar is one of the last places in the country where you can enjoy this ancient ride. The distance from Delhi is 220 kms, from Rishikesh is 30 kms and from Mussoorie is 90 kms. Haridwar is one of the primary areas where river Gangas emerges from the mountains and enters to the plain areas. The kumbh Mela is also held here in month of April after every 12 years of gap.

Facts: Haridwar is the first place down the mountains that welcomes the holy River Ganga. Also feature among the four venues for the Kumbh Mela, which witness the world’s most peaceful gatherings. Other three places are Allahabad, Nashik and Ujjain. Hari ki Pauri Haridawar As the name define ‘Hari’ means (God) and Dwar means gateway. Hence haridwar means gateway to the God. According to the India Mythology, “It is the one of the four places where drops of elixir, Amrita accidentally spilled over from the pitcher or Kumbha, in which it was being, carried away by the celestial bird Garuda the vehicle of Lord Vishnu”.

Ganga Arti, at Hari ki Pauri
Hari ki pauri is famous Ghat on the banks of the Gangas in haridwar, Uttrakhand. Hari ki Pauri is the place where the evening Ganga Aarti takes places and which considered most sacred is known as Brahm Kund. All the devotees came here to take a bath or Holy dip into the Gangas. Mansa Devi Temple This temple is a hindu temple dedicated to Goddess mansa Devi in the holy city of haridwar in Uttrakhand. This temple is located at the top of Bilwa Parvat on the Sivalik Hills. Here we can go by travelling foot or now a day’s you can go by ‘Udan Khatola’(Cabel car). Walkin requires a one and a half kilometres hike uphill. Haridwar mansa devi   Fact: Believers hold the Mansa Devi Temple on hilltop in Haridwar can fulfil devotees’ wishes. Chandi devi temple It is located nearby Mansa devi you can also go there by cable car or by foot. This temple is situated atop the neel parvat on the other bank of the river Ganga was constructed in 1929 A.D. by the king of Kashmir- Suchat singh. Haridwar chandidevi   Rishikesh The Rishikesh is a combination of sports, pilgrimage, yoga and some adventures things. It is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas on the banks of the river Ganga in Northern India. The distance from dehradun to rishikesh is just approx 45 kms. Dehradun is the hub of Yoga, meditation and spirituality. It is famous for river rafting, backpacking, camping, rock climbing , rappelling and bungee jumping and much more. Rishikesh is situated 25 kms ahed of haridwar.
