Celebrated across  two days: on first day at night family and friends are gather to burn a bornfire to commemorate the sacrifice of holika and On next day at morning peoples are gather in open areas and apply dry and wet colors of multiple hues to each other and children carrying water guns and colored water balloons. festivals of India Maha Shivratri (festivals of India) This occasion is celebrated as the day Load Shiva married Goddess Parvati. It is also in the list of famous festivals of india. This is celebrated on the 14th/15th day of the month of February. A huge devotes go to the temple to pray to god and enjoying whole night vigils through singing and dancing. festivals of India Navratri (festivals of India) As the name shows that it is the festival of 9 days. It represents the celebration of the Goddess Amba in nine different forms. It is mainly celebrated all over the country but the most vibrant in Gujarat, Maharashtra and metros. This festival is come twice in the year. Once at April-May and second is October-November. This occasion is come according to Hindu calendar.
